About Arijit Pal
I am a young researcher with Ph.D. in Life Science and Biotechnology. Currently, I am working on pathogenic strains of bacteria to understand the molecular basis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), heteroresistance, and antibiotic tolerance development among them. Overall, I have more than eight years of experience in clinical microbiology, molecular and cellular biology, and mice handling. I have successfully completed three different projects and published ten first-authored research articles in several peer-reviewed journals from them. My doctoral research was financially supported by the Indian Council of Medical Research. I want to explore the molecular basis of host-pathogen interactions, bacterial pathogenesis and identify alternative therapeutics and/or diagnostics for serious bacterial infections in near future. I am fascinated by the microbial world and am always eager to collaborate with different scientific groups to have better insights into clinical microbiology.
