About Arika Pickle

For the last 11 years, I have had the privilege of working in the human services field in various capacities including advocating, case management, supervising, and counseling. Through my years of experience, I have worked with teenagers diagnosed with Serious Emotional Disturbances, young adults with Serious Mental Illness, and their families, and have gained experience in areas including depression, anxiety, unexpected life changes, pregnancy, grief and loss, adoption, and sexual assault. As a professional counselor, I enjoy providing evidence-based approaches while working from a holistic perspective to address mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs. In addition to counseling, I also enjoy teaching and training. Some of my most unique experiences include educating cadets at a police academy, training volunteers at a crisis pregnancy center, college students on campus, and leading parenting groups.
