About Arthur Cheong

Arthur Cheong is the Founder, CEO & CIO of DeFiance Capital, widely considered to be one of the top crypto investment firms in Asia with more than $300m of combined AUM across liquid and venture strategies. Arthur is a leader in the global crypto community (>200K X followers) and one of the earliest investors in the DeFi space. Arthur is a seasoned crypto investor with more than 8 years of professional crypto investing experience, having founded and grown DeFiance Capital to >$300m in AUM. His background spans across startups, oil trading, and Crypto. Before founding DeFiance Capital, Arthur co-founded a research start-up and worked on Growth and Strategy role at a blockchain protocol focusing on scalability and sharding. Prior to his work in the crypto space, Arthur worked in the oil trading industry under BP’s flagship trading development programme, where he worked closely with oil trading professionals in trading, shipping and operation roles. During his university time, he was active in co-curricular activities and was the vice president of the investment club where he led the investment research team to provide top investment insights to the student population. Arthur graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a major in Economics and a minor in Entrepreneurship.
