About Ashley Hards

Hi, my name is Ashley! I am an enthusiastic and driven writer with experience in teaching, sales, administration, and content creation. Although I initially intended to pursue a career in science, my lifelong interest in literature motivated me to switch tracks towards a Masters in English. As a graduate student, I explored ways to revamp canonical texts, such as, how is Shakespeare still relevant to modern audiences? Isn’t Jules Verne’s "Around the World in Eighty Days" weirdly similar to "Star Wars"? My drive for engagement directly translates to my teaching for the Desautels Faculty of Management. My goal as an instructor is to engage with student interests while still pushing them to achieve high standards of writing and communication. In the future, I hope to continue to develop my research by pursuing a PhD. Until then, I am interested in to delving into the intersection of the digital world and literature. In my free time, you can find me hitting the slopes on skis or a mountain bike.
