About Ashley Maas

As an ambitious undergraduate student at McMaster University, I enjoy seeking out a variety of experiences to grow as an individual and learn about the world around me. Volunteering at Lighthouse Landing Camp for children with autism provided me with a life-changing experience that allowed me to see the importance of diversity among humans and how each and every individual can bring something unique to the table. Through the Leaders in Exercise and Athletics Program at Catholic Central High School, I have experience in many different leadership settings with a variety of individuals. I enjoy working with new people and solving problems by combining previous knowledge with new ideas. I have plenty of experience with customer service through my job at Shoppers Drug Mart in the cosmetic department and as a supervisor. From helping customers find a product that is right for them, to problem-solving any adversity thrown my way: I am able to treat customers with kindness and respect, obtaining the most optimal outcome for everybody. Furthering my experience as a packager at Militex allowed me to develop extraordinary discipline. I have acquired a fine attention to detail and continue to develop my problem solving skills through this role, which I will transfer to future positions in a variety of settings. I am a hard-working individual with a vast amount of experience that I am able to transfer to new settings and apply in novel situations. I enjoy seeking new opportunities to discover personal interests that will lead me to a satisfying career in the future.
