About Ashley Scanlon

I am an undergraduate student in the department of Design, Housing and Merchandising at Oklahoma State University. With a love for the fashion industry, I am pursing a bachelor's degree in Apparel Merchandising along with a minor in Marketing. Working individually or in a group, I am a dedicated hard worker. I love to take on challenges and strive to be positive and will persevere. As a sales associate for Sally’s Beauty Supply, I gained merchandising experience by assisting in the creation of displays, performing sales transactions, and opening and closing the store. Working for Cheerbows Bowtique, a small family business, I have enjoyed using my creativity to help design custom cheerleading bows to coordinate with a team’s uniform and fit within their budget. Today I still maintain the social media accounts for Cheerbows Boutique. I have a passion for traveling and experiencing different cultures throughout the world. This summer I will be backpacking and exploring eleven different countries in Europe, to gain experience in the different cultures in each place. I also plan to further my education by studying abroad for the fall 2017 semester in London, one of the best fashion capitals in the world. Because of my love for fashion and traveling, and my hard work ethic I aspire to become a fashion buyer in the future.
