About Ashley Steinhaus

I am a dedicated professional with a strong background in behavioural psychology, developmental services, and student affairs. With experience spanning intellectual disability support, mental health, residence life, and student success, I am passionate about creating inclusive environments that empower individuals to thrive academically, socially, and personally. After earning my Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology from St. Lawrence College and a Developmental Services Worker diploma from Humber College, I gained hands-on experience across school boards, community organizations, and mental health services. My academic journey culminated in a thesis on the use of token economy programs to enhance classroom participation, reflecting my commitment to applied research and evidence-based practices. Professionally, I have worked in both developmental services and higher education, holding roles in residence life and student housing operations. At Campus Living Centres, I advanced to Residence Services Lead, overseeing training and front desk operations. Currently, as a Residence Life Coordinator at Brock University, I focus on fostering community, supporting student well-being, and leading initiatives that promote personal growth and academic success. I am deeply motivated by opportunities to support individuals, whether through mentorship, programming, or advocacy, and I continue to build a career that blends my passions for psychology, education, and student development.
