About Ashraf Salim

As a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, I’m passionate about harnessing my skills to drive advancements in sustainable engineering. My academic journey culminated in a Final Year Design Project focused on biomass waste conversion to liquid biofuels, where I led key aspects like heat integration, safety analysis, and economic assessment. In addition to my academic background, I gained hands-on industry experience as a Scientific/Engineering Intern at Edwards Lifesciences, where I developed production flowcharts, ensured tooling readiness, and assisted with quality inspections to optimize manufacturing processes. I’ve also honed my leadership and project management skills through various roles, including my service as a platoon sergeant during National Service and my role as President of the Student Council in secondary school.Skilled in digital tools like Aspen Plus, MATLAB, and Python, I bring a problem-solving mindset and a collaborative spirit to every project. I’m excited to connect with industry professionals and explore opportunities in biofuels, renewable energy, and process engineering.
