About Ashton Mooney

Compassionate-organized-eager to learn. I am a recent graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University, with a degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness with a minor in Criminal Justice. Before I graduated college, I was an intern with Charlottesville- UVA- Albemarle Emergency Management Office. Through this opportunity, I learned a lot about the world of Emergency Management. I worked on the regional EOP, and revised ESF #10 Oil & Hazardous materials. This gave me an opportunity to deepen my knowledge and work amongst stakeholders. I also worked internally to revise the COOP. Amongst these projects, I participated in Lake Anna's nuclear powerplant drill, where we made a strategic plan for DECON. I also worked with others within the community to distribute PPE. I currently work for a nonprofit called Good360. Here, I have realized my love for helping individuals all across the world. Good360s mission is to fill the need gap. With that being said, I work along side Amazon and QVC to help communities prosper. The feeling is so rewarding knowing that you are helping out millions of people!
