For more information on my research, please visit my webpage: https://sites.google.com/site/ataatay) I am a Serra Húnter Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department of Mathematical Economics, Finance, and Actuarial Sciences at University of Barcelona. My main research interests are game theory, matching theory, market design, and operations research. During Fall 2023, I was in residence at SLMath (formerly MSRI) during Fall 2023 (6 weeks) in the Mathematics and Computer Science of Market and Mechanism Design Program. Before joining University of Barcelona, I was an Assistant Professor of Economics at UNED. I was a postdoctoral research fellow at Center for Research in Economics (CEREC) and Center for Operations Research & Econometrics (CORE) at UCLouvain. I was a member of the "Social and Economic Network Formation under Limited Farsightedness: Theory and Applications" project led by Ana Mauleon and Vincent Vannetelbosch. Before my term in Belgium, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Mechanism Design Group led by Péter Biró at the Institute of Economics, Hungarian Academy of Sciences and a part-time lecturer at the Department of Operations Research and Actuarial Sciences, Corvinus University of Budapest. I obtained my Ph. D. in Economics from the Department of Economic, Financial, and Actuarial Mathematics at the University of Barcelona. I have a BSc in Mathematical Engineering and a MSc in Advanced Mathematics which I have obtained prior to my PhD in Economics.
