About Athanasios-Antonios Varsos

I am an engineer with more than 7 years of professional experience in Engineering Design and Manufacturing of components and equipment for the Offshore industry. My engagement with project execution-related tasks enforced my understanding of the business needs and also the goal-oriented approach I follow, adapted to the dynamic every-day life of the Energy industry. In my current role, I review contractual specification and functional requirements, and I carry out detailed engineering design for commercial projects. With strong Customer focus, I also conduct project coordination activities, progress reporting and handle communication with all relevant disciplines monitoring in this way, the projects’ progress regarding quality, time and budget. As a person and as an engineer working for several years in renowned international companies and organizations in two countries, I was gifted with the chance to be part of several teams of scientists and engineers from all over the globe. Thus, I highly value the importance of communication and the open and honest partnership between the team members with the view of driving innovation and pushing the limits of technological capabilities. Outside the office you will find me riding my (fixie) bike, while I am also known for playing violin in traditional music group.
