About Athanasios Samantas

Obtaining my bachelor's degree on 2007 and Masters degree on 2009 at Mechanical Engineering field of University of Thessaly, I completed the military requirement of Greek Army on January 2010. Spending 1.5 years on several jobs (technical office, laboratory assistant, salesman) I started the Mechanical engineer implementation on H.B Fuller adhesive plant. Being responsible for maintenance issues and Hot Melt adhesive production, we achieved the 50% production increase. On April 2013 a new challenge appeared on Nexans Hellas, as Maintenance Manager. Up to 2019 I was focused on daily KPI's and OPI's ensuring Plant efficiency and high A machine availability(>95%). In parallel, I managed all the installation projects, including new production cable lines, infrastructures and erection of buildings. Being also safety and environmental Manager I sustain all the necessary ISO for the plant (14001, OHSAS 18001). On 2020 I moved in agricultural industry of Agroinvest, on the port department, leading the heavy-duty loaders and trucks maintenance and also the amelioration of transfer lines. In addition, I got in charge of ISO 9001 for port facilities. To sum up, I started my Mechanical carrier as a field engineer obtaining all the necessary experience and I have been evolved as a strong manager of team leading.
