About Austyn Smith

Aspiring College Basketball Coach.I am a basketball coach and performance specialist committed to building programs that are disciplined, competitive, and development driven. My career has allowed me to work at multiple levels of the game, including Division I basketball at the University of Louisville under Hall of Fame Coach Rick Pitino, as well as leading varsity programs and overseeing comprehensive strength and conditioning operations for multi sport athletic departments. As a head coach, I focus on building identity. My teams are built on defensive intensity, rebounding, ball movement, and player accountability. I believe in pace and space principles offensively, pressure and adaptability defensively, and a system that emphasizes player growth within structure. As a strength and conditioning director, I have designed and administered sport specific training programs for over 100 student athletes daily, integrating performance data, progressive overload models, and movement efficiency principles to produce measurable improvements in strength, speed, and durability.Through Coach Austyn LLC, I have expanded my impact beyond the school setting, developing athletes through high intensity skill training, performance development, and competitive mindset cultivation.I am passionate about building programs from the ground up, aligning freshman through varsity development, and creating environments where athletes grow physically, mentally, and professionally. My goal is simple: build strong cultures, develop complete players, and compete at a championship level.
