About Ava Trapp

My name is Ava Trapp, and I recently graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I have relevant coursework such as the psychology of scientific thinking, statistics in psychology, abnormal psychology, cognitive psychology, research methods, and child and adolescent psychology. I have conducted a research project and delivered a visual presentation on the topic, “Psychometric Evaluation of Social Cognition and Behavior Measures in Children and Adolescents with Down Syndrome” effectively demonstrating the study's importance to the class. I worked as a research lab assistant working on recruiting participants for our research study in the ASSERT lab on Rowan's campus, presenting research findings at weekly meetings, and collecting/coding data from research participants. As well as having worked as a teaching assistant for a Physiological Psychology class working on assisting students with class assignments. I also have retail work experience which has allowed me to work with store sales, train other employees, promote products on social media, and provide customer satisfaction. I hope to further my psychology experience by getting an internship in the counseling field. My academic goal after my undergrad is to go on to get a MSW.
