About Avel Espiritu

I would describe myself as a lifelong learner after many years of practicing Lean thinking. Unconsciously I’m always looking for ways to experiment and improve processes, applying Lean principles along with my progressive experience to lead and manage my team. Naturally, I build up and empower others, mentoring them to flow their work and focus on effectiveness for the whole. This skill has allowed me to quickly adapt and start contributing value in many different industries such as manufacturing, construction, or engineering projects, bringing them to completion faster and better than we thought possible. Personal success is achieved in the moments while coaching or mentoring others, and they have their “a-ha” moment, where they start to take their firsts steps on their Lean journey of constant learning. For myself, once I grasped these concepts, it was transformative, and now I’m relentlessly striving to improve continuously. I am an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and also a proud recipient of a Dale Carnegie Outstanding Performance Award. Part of my continuous learning journey, I am enrolled at NAIT part-time, pursuing a Bachelor of Technology.
