As an advocate and researcher, I hope to support Disabled people and groups who have been historically disadvantaged through community organizing, research, policy, and litigation. My background is in the application of UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), with particular emphasis on Article 9 and Article 11. I also have subject matter expertise in the European Accessibility Act (EAA), and currently advise on the implementation of the EAA’s accessibility requirements in Ireland and the harmonized European standards. I have experience conducting research for the UNCRPD committee and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and working for governments (U.S. and Ireland), Nonprofits, and for Organizations of People with Disabilities (OPDs/DPOs).
