About Barbara Hanson

Barb is passionate about systemic change and improving outcomes for those historically marginalized. Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with diverse stakeholders and built capacity that was sustainable. She utilized data (both quantitative and qualitative) to drive decision-making and strived to empower team members to be their best. Valuing lived experience has been, and will always be, critical in her methodology, including representation in leadership, as well as in policy and program development. Barb is also known for being an executer and actionable. She is able to enhance processes to optimize efficiency while addressing systemic issues. She integrates cross-cultural competence into all facets of her work and is a certified IDI Qualified Administrator. She has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead others, with a successful track record in coordinating the work of internal and external teams. Her Master's Degree is in Child, Youth, and Family Studies, where she specialized in International Family Studies. Her Bachelor's Degree is in Business Management and Entrepreneurship.
