Background

About Barbara Lopes

My academic journey began in 2015 when I embarked on my path in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Viçosa. In 2018, I had the incredible opportunity to further my studies in Architecture and Art in Portugal. This experience deepened my knowledge in heritage and museology while allowing me to explore different countries and their unique cultures. As an architect and urban planner since 2020, I've honed my ability to harmonize the creative process with efficiency and rationality. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I've thrived in team environments, developing leadership, organizational skills and communication. As an architect, I have developed my career with a growth mindset — not only focused on design outcomes, but also on deeply understanding the reasoning behind design choices. My goal is to contribute to meaningful, lasting architecture that combines creativity, functionality, and contextual awareness. With international experience, I approach each project with a holistic perspective, balancing creativity and functionality and always striving for the best, regardless of the project’s scale or budget. Today, I'm actively involved in architecture and interior design projects, overseeing their conception, authorization and execution. I see every project as an opportunity to explore unexpected possibilities, creating innovative solutions through collaboration, technical rigor, and creative problem-solving.
