Background
About Barbara Simiyu
The Banda School fosters a collaborative learning environment where pupil-led teaching and holistic development are prioritized. As a Key Stage 2 Form Tutor and Teacher of Physical Education and Girls Games with over six years at the institution, my work emphasizes constructive feedback, tailored lesson planning, and the integration of sports into education to promote teamwork and character growth. Key contributions include organizing inter-school sports fixtures and empowering students through leadership programs. With over a decade of experience in education and sports, I am committed to nurturing young minds while advancing their physical and cognitive skills. Supported by an iPGCE from the University of East London, my expertise spans student leadership training, sports administration, and program coordination. I aim to inspire confidence and resilience in students, equipping them to excel both in the classroom and on the field.
