About Bardhyl Marku

With a Master's degree in diplomacy from the University of South East Europe in Tetovo, Macedonia, and a background as a Graduated Engineer of Architecture from the University of Prishtina, Kosovo, I bring over 25 years of hands-on experience in orchestrating the planning, execution, and oversight of diverse development initiatives. My journey spans from advising Central and Local Government bodies in North Macedonia and across the South East Europe region to spearheading transformative projects funded by prestigious entities such as the USAID, EU (IPA and PHARE), GIZ, UNDP, WB, and SDC, among others. My expertise encompasses a spectrum of roles, including serving as Chief of Party at the USAID Strengthening Resource Mobilization Activity Project, acting as a Key expert at EU4M for local government capacity building, and contributing as a consultant for World Bank initiatives like the "Municipal Services Improvement Project." I've been pivotal in designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for decentralization processes and have a rich history of engagement with USAID Local Government Activities, spanning twelve impactful years. Moreover, I've lent my expertise to projects like the GIZ-supported "Institutional Support to NALAS" and managed cross-border cooperation endeavors financed by the EU Phare - CREDO Programme. My operational proficiency extends to leading municipal funds for local infrastructure development and executing architectural projects for esteemed companies and organizations. With a portfolio that includes engagements with the World Bank, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), as well as various NGOs, I've cultivated a reputation for delivering excellence in every endeavor.
