About Barsha Shrestha
I am interested in multidisciplinary research. Therefore, before enrolling as a PhD candidate, I pursued a master’s degree in biomedical science at the UWA and completed a thesis on workforce management using Geographic Information Systems (qGIS). I have embarked on a new career path in nano dentistry and biomaterial technology, with the aim of translating biomedical science expertise into dental material science to develop biocompatible materials. My primary goal is synthesizing and characterizing nanoparticles and developing a conceptual model for non-invasive therapy utilizing focused ultrasound. Trained and experienced in- Transmission electron microscopy ( TEM)- Selected area electron diffractions ( SAED)- High-resolution TEM (HR - TEM)- Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy ( FTIR)- X-ray diffraction ( XRD)- Scanning electron microscopy (SEM)- Atomic force microscopy (AFM)- Micro-computed tomography (micro-CT)- Raman spectroscopy - Nano-indentation - Focused Ultrasound System - Geographic information system (qGIS)- Developing and characterizing biofilms ( aerobic and anaerobic bacteria) against synthesized nanoparticles, drugs, and/or modified materials
