About Bart Pogue

As an experienced educator, program manager, diplomat, and team leader, I'm dedicated to social development, learning, and preparing individuals for success in an interconnected world. I designed and led over $170 million in education programs with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), enhancing literacy, workforce development, and youth engagement in Guatemala, Liberia, and Somalia. Before that, I ran U.S. State Department-funded overseas language study programs, taught English to new arrivals in the United States, and served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco. I love the Chicago Cubs, reading good books, spending time with family and friends, and playing outside. Now based in Peoria, Illinois, I’m seeking new opportunities and open to relocating in 2026.
