Background
About Basha Shapiro
An art business professional with experience across gallery operations, auction houses, and art market journalism. I hold an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and a BA in Art History and Visual Culture from Bard College. My background includes gallery work at Anita Rogers Gallery and Opening Gallery in New York, as well as experience in Forum Auctions’ Prints Department in London. Alongside this, I served as Art Markets Co-Editor at MADE IN BED Magazine, exploring trends, challenges, and innovations driving today’s art market. Passionate about bridging academic insight with the commercial dynamics of the art world—whether through provenance research, client engagement, or communicating the value of artworks. I am particularly interested in opportunities within auction houses, galleries, art advisory, and collection management.
