About Ben Patella

My calling is to invite and lead young adults into a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ by the grace of God. My passion is for everyone I serve to know God is present, powerful and active in our lives. My method is to teach the Bible, discuss its applications, pray continually and rely on the transmforming power of the Holy Spirit. Values in my ministry - The Bible is God's Word and is the direct revelation of who God is. The entirety of the Bible affirms God's love since it points to Jesus, God's only Son, the only acceptable atonment for sin- Apart from God, the power of the Holy Spirit and the fellowshihp of the Church we can do nothing of eternal value- Eternal life is a gift of salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Eternal life is to be experienced as a new fullness and quality everyday life to be enjoyed now and experienced fully in heaven. Eternal life is the power and work of God which heals brokenness in our lives, relationships and souls- Ministry relevant to young adults must train and equip them to view and engage culture from a relevant biblical perspective. Young adult ministry reveals the love of Jesus in this stage of life and builds a solid foundation of faith and relationship with God for future career, family and fellowship in a local church body- Young adult ministry is real, relevant, dynamic and fun. Ministry Experience- 4 years teaching a weekly Bible lecture on Old and New Testament books - 4 years teaching the Bible to children (2nd grade through school)- 6 years leading adult small group Bible and devotional studies - 4 years training and coaching adult leaders in Bible study ministry - 1 year hosting and encouraging a church college intern in my home - Led a team of adults on a short term mission to Mwandi, Zambia, Africa to build a computer lab in a middle school and train teachers to use the equipment for education.
