About Ben Reinking

I a clinical professor of pediatric cardiology at the University of Iowa Health Care, where I have been working for over 20 years. I have developed a wide range of competencies in clinical care, medical education, mentorship, clinical research, clinical leadership, and quality improvement. I am passionate about improving the outcomes and quality of life of children with complex congenital heart disease, and I have contributed to multiple publications and presentations on this topic. I also hold various leadership roles, such as the faculty co-director of the Boulware Learning Community, the departmental fellowship director, and the medical director of the Single Ventricle Interstage Program and the Fontan Clinic. I am also owner and founder of The Developing Doctor, a coaching practice that helps physicians and medical leaders achieve their personal and professional goals, overcome challenges, and optimize their performance and well-being. As a Master Certified Physician Development Coach with over a year and a half of coaching experience, I leverage my coaching expertise and professional background to empower physicians to thrive in their careers and lives, and to create positive change in the health care system.
