About Benjamin Agbemor

I am a Development Planner and a Human Geographer. I have experience in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) governance, systems strengthening, water service monitoring, informal water supply, and project planning and implementation. I have previously worked in the public sector and with Non-Governmental Organizations, including IRC Ghana, the Community Water and Sanitation Agency, Ghana, and Winrock International. I am passionate about localizing the UN Sustainable Goal 6 implementation and using a network-centered approach to drive customer services for WASH delivery. I am involved in research on WASH in emergencies, water supply alternatives, household water insecurity, and environmental migration in urban Ghana. I have designed and conducted mixed methods and qualitative research in rural and urban areas. I am also passionate about sustainability, social equity, and community empowerment in the Global South. I have a degree in Development Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and a Master's in Sustainability (Environment and Development) from the University of Leeds, UK. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Geography at Kent State University, USA.
