About Benjamin Mueller

As a student at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, I am no stranger to hard work. I began my first job as a dishwasher at Pepino's in Menomonee Falls during my junior year of high school, and worked about 35 hours a week while balancing a full course load, and nearly full time during that summer. The summer that I graduated high school I was employed at a local manufacturing company Kirby Built Quality Products while also working at the restaurant. I worked almost 80 hour weeks, and then began schooling at MSOE where I focused on my schooling. From both of my previous jobs, I have learned time management, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication skills. At the factory I also learned about general manufacturing processes, as well as how to manage groups of people to complete tasks too large for just one person to handle alone, as well as how to apply technical writing in the workplace. In high school and at MSOE I have learned many practical, industry focused skills such as software and web design, while also learning many applicable programming languages such as Java, python, C#, C, JavaScript, and HTML. In addition to schooling, I have worked on several side projects to further my programming skills such as creating a program to encrypt and decrypt Vigenere ciphers given the appropriate key. I am industry focused, and willing to learn anything given the opportunity.
