An industry veteran of over fifteen years developed a strong testing methodology able to put this into practice in particular having had the pleasure of building up a department from scratch.Since the age of seven having seen the job of QA Tester in the back of an Amiga Power magazine, had passionately wanted to attain that role. Starting as a Junior Quality Assurance technician have now worked the way up to the position of Manager.Relevant Experience:• Started, managed and expanded QA Department from the ground up.• Mainintaining high quality of team output while retaining a constant quantity of work from the department.• Worked/communicated with internal/external development on a regular basis working towards mutual benefits.• Managed and utilised both internal and external test resources.• Fifteen and a half years within Quality Assurance (over half of that within a management role).Quality Assurance Skills:• Strong focus on Black Box approach (Stakeholder UX experience).• Incorporating White Box elements (Development Debug Tools used with knowledge of advantages and limitations).• Managing small to large number of testers (ranging from 30 to 100 at submission periods). This includes hiring, training and reviewing staff members.• Test Plan creation and maintenance (including sourcing of information/expectations, modification of contents due to product flux, recording details of completed work).• Managing test focus on a daily basis including sourcing information and requirements where applicable.• Setting out weekly workloads to cover any gaps in active tasks eliminating any situations of staff lacking work and focus.• Bug Entry Database management (bug entry, assignment, regression, setting up dashboards and filters as well as creating reports from data).• Creating Documentation (whether in document or web-based forms produced best practice and tutorial materials for both internal and external distribution).
