About Benjamin Tyreman

I’m a BA(Hons) Games Art & Design Graduate of Norwich University of the Arts, currently working in the games industry as a Community Manager at Merge Games. With experience using programmes like Photoshop, Maya and Unreal Engine, I specialised in Concept Art for most of my time at university. I love creating art both for work and in my free time, and have a strong passion for the worlds of sci-fi and Star Wars - the inspiration that led me into concept art. Community management has been an interest of mine during university. I investigated the role as part of my final year research report/dissertation, analysing the impacts in which a positive developer-community relationship can have upon the success and longevity of a video game - using EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront II and Blizzard’s Hearthstone as case studies. I’m a founding member of the game jam team ‘Mischievous Games’ from NUA - winners of the 2020 Ukie #raisethegamejam and the 2021 Ukie #mobojam - with aspirations to develop this into an indie game studio in the future!
