Background

About Beth Mansfield

I bring strong interpersonal and project management skills to my role, where I manage 60+ national and international transdisciplinary PhD research projects. I facilitate collaboration between world-leading researchers from academia, industry, the NHS, and NGOs, all focused on addressing zoonotic infectious diseases and respiratory diseases (from my PhD). Building on my PhD, I’m passionate about understanding the mechanisms behind environmental drivers of diseases across diverse ecosystems. My post-doctoral research continues to explore these factors, with the goal of informing One Health behaviors and driving sustainable, sector-wide actions to improve health outcomes. I am a skilled scientific communicator, I’ve presented at global conferences, earned awards, and published in peer-reviewed journals. Beyond my academic work, I am an active member of professional societies, a STEM Ambassador and self-certified Plant Mom!
