About Beth Speck

I am an educator, heart and soul. As an educator, I have had many opportunities to see what a well-run school looks and feels like. I believe every day at school should be one of discovery, adventure and risk taking. We should educate the whole child and always strive to help that child become a life learner and lover of the universe. I believe that the foundational principles of a school should permeate it, and whoever walks on campus should know what the school believes, and that all are valued. I strive to show the depth and breadth of a school’s philosophy by the way I interact with others, and how I spend my time. It is a commitment to be the one who steps up and leads. It is a responsibility to support and guide the faculty to be the best in their field. It is a joy to represent a school as a leader. In addition to my experience listed below, I have taught in a variety of Catholic schools in the Houston area, including Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart, where I taught Theology, and coordinated Campus Ministry and Social Awareness. As well, I consulted and authored book in religious series for Wm. H. Sadlier, Co, and have been asked to speak nationally for several organizations. National speaking engagements include: Sacred Heart Network programs in New Orleans, Grand Coteau, and San Francisco, Sadlier religious conferences, and ERB conference in New York. I have served as AASH and AMASC representatives at national and international events, and at ISM Salt Lake City and ISM Vermont, teaching veteran admissions directors in summer institute in developing plans for admissions future.
