Betsy is now pursuing her longstanding dream of turning her interest in fitness and health into a career. She calls it her pre-retirement gig, which she plans to do well past “normal” retirement age. Betsy entered her new profession following a successful career in Independent Schools as a teacher, coach and administrator and held senior leadership positions at several national non-profit organizations in Washington, DC. She is a life-long athlete and fitness enthusiast. She has completed a combined total of 15 marathons and triathlons; coached downhill skiing, lacrosse, squash and tennis; played Division I Lacrosse in college and First Singles on her high school tennis team. Today, she is an avid skier, bicyclist and tennis player.and loves to hike with her dog, Rosie. Betsy is a graduate of Colgate University and has a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Harvard University. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds certifications in Women’s Fitness, Functional Training and Corrective Exercise. In addition, she a licensed massage therapist in Maryland.
