Hi, I'm Bev Barnes M.S- Master Life Coach, Trainer, Speaker, Mentor & Author. My business, the Soul’s Calling® Academy, helps professional women, born healers, helpers, teachers, guides, leaders, and coaches who are hiding their genius, and stuck in their survival work, to transition to their sacred work. I made the shift to my sacred work many years ago. For years I had corporate work that gave me a great salary but no fulfillment. I created & managed national programs in Occupational Rehabilitation (vocational rehabilitation & disability management) and Employment Equity (diversity & inclusion). But it was only when I discovered and claimed my hidden genius, that I started doing my sacred work, not my survival work. And my sacred work is to help women unlock their hidden genius…and use it in their lives and their work. I started my coaching & training business in 1996! Since 2015, I’ve been training Soul’s Calling® Coaches. This boutique Coach Training program helps women to claim the unique contribution that only they can make, and learn paradigm shifting coaching methods to coach others to do the same! I’ve also worked with First Nations communities in Northern Quebec leading healing, organizational, professional development, coaching & training programs. In addition, as a Sessional Instructor for the Indigenous Studies program, at the University of Quebec, I’ve taught courses in Management, Human Sciences, Career Development and Education - always receiving mention for my teaching excellence. For over ten years I was a lead Master Coach Instructor for the Martha Beck, Wayfinder Life Coach Training program. I designed curriculum and trained and mentored Life Coaches. I consistently received positive feedback for my leadership, authenticity, teaching and compassion. I do this work because I spent too much time in my early career suffering, in a “good” professional job, that underutilized my best skills. I know there’s a way out. I have the map! I created the Soul’s Calling® Roadmap as a visual and playful map that outlines the transition from your survival work to your sacred work. I believe that we all have a unique contribution that we were born to make. When we uncover it and start doing it, we can change the world and dismantle systemic racism - one person at a time.
