About Beverley Williams

Having qualified as an OT in 1998 I have worked with both adults and children in Social Services, NHS and special School settings, my last post being Team Lead OT at Ysgol Y Deri special School in South Wales. I stepped into the private world in 2018 and didnt look back; working with brain injured children and their families as both an OT and a Case Manager. I also moved into the world of research, working and volunteering on several projects including my own MSc project which was published in May 2025. All those roles allowed me to build a firm foundation and skills set in neuroscience and systemic approaches from a trauma informed viewpoint. I currently run Sense-it Therapy Consultancy, specialising in sensory integration and sensory attachment based assessments and intervention. There I work mostly with fostering and adoption teams to support families that are struggling to cope with daily routines and the added layer of developmental trauma and attachment patterns. I am a passionate advocate for holistic and complimentary therapies and have qualified as a Reiki Master Teacher and an Advanced crystal therapist with diplomas in herbalism and energy medicine. I find this avenue links very well with my interest in neuroscience as the brain and mind are powerful healing tools. I love learning new skills and at present I am training as a Forest Bathing Practitioner, a Transformational Life Coach and a Yoga Teavher. For the last two years I have worked passionately to co- create Mind In2 Action where OT, Psychology and Holistic Science are brought together in our V.I.T A. Life programme. this is provided in person, using practical somatic exercises to empower people to understand how their body, mind and spirit work together as a whole to create balance, resilience, and consistency to achieve self-actualisation. We work with people from all areas many of who have chronic conditions such as fibromyalhia. CFS, depression and anxiety. We seek to use a systemic approach when working with families, and promote self-reflective practice and somatic exercises to support people to move out of their comfort zone to challenge, limited self- beliefs. Through igniting the creative spark and experiencing 'flow'; promoting a sense of purpose and belonging; and connecting to our inner self, our community and nature, we empower people to move beyond the impact of trauma and towards healing centred engagement.
