About Bill Morland

Bill Morland has been a volunteer business mentor with SCORE since 2002. Bill began in Orange County CA and was Chapter Chairman for two years. Under his direction the Orange County chapter was number one nationally out of 389 chapters in total services delivered to the local small business community. In addition to his Chairman duties, he personally counseled 450+ local small businesses in a variety of business situations over the past years. Entrepreneurship is Bill's passion. He started and operated five small businesses over a period of twenty years. As President of one of the first contract employee services he help pioneer the concept of off site personnel departments which are now known as Professional Employer Organizations. Prior to his entrepreneur activities he was Vice-President of Sales for a division of ITT and successfully launched the concept of consumer telephones across the country through major retail channels such as K-Mart, Costco, Macy's and Target Stores. Sales and marketing across a broad spectrum of products and services are his core competencies. Bill was Chapter Chairman of Orange County SCORE for two years and District Director covering Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties for three years. Bill the took the volunteer position of Western Regional Vice President covering the states of Arizona, Nevada, California and Hawaii. He stepped down from the Regional Vice President position in 2019 after 6 years. and started a new SCORE chapter in the Long Beach/South Bay area of Los Angeles County. Bill served as the Chapter Chair of the new chapter until September of 2022. Bill continues to participate in the activities of the Long Beach/South Bay chapter of SCORE. He is also proud to have served as a volunteer member of the SCORE Association National Advisory Board from 2011 to early 2023. At the SCORE National Leadership Conference in August of 2018 Bill Morland was honored to receive the SCORE Conductor Field Leadership Award.
