About Billy Hughes

As a dedicated advocate for raising awareness surrounding Child and Adult Child to Parent Abuse, I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families affected by this issue. With a background in counselling, early intervention and prevention work, children and young people studies and program facilitation, I bring a unique perspective to addressing and supporting parents effected by this form of abuse. In my current role as a Child/Adult Child to Parent Abuse Lead, I am actively involved in leading efforts to address and mitigate the impact of abuse within family dynamics. By utilizing my expertise in counseling and program development, I strive to create sustainable solutions that foster healing and empowerment for those affected. I firmly believe that raising awareness is key to addressing child to parent abuse and creating safer, healthier environments for individuals and families. Through my advocacy work, I am dedicated to promoting understanding, empathy, and effective interventions in this crucial area. This is a role I’m extremely passionate about and thankful I have the opportunity to use my voice, skills and determination to raise awareness surrounding Child to Parent Abuse and work with individual’s effected by this. I am open to connecting with fellow advocates, professionals, and individuals who share a passion for bringing about positive change in the field of child / Adult Child to parent abuse. Let's work together to create safer and more nurturing communities for all. Our service offers 1-2-1 support to Parents, working directly with children from 6-17. Also supporting parents whose Adult Child abuses as well as working with the whole family where CPA is taking place through using a therapeutic approach. A group programme offer will also be available, allowing families to know they aren’t alone.
