I facilitate conversations around mental wellbeing & multicultural mental health. I believe we need to engage in open & honest conversations about mental health among all members of society. I bring principles of Narrative ideas, diversity and inclusion-based practices to my work. I am committed to acknowledging & exploring the intersectionalities that influence mental health concerns. Personal Vision Initiate. Collaborate. Innovate. At the intersection of these 3 elements lies my ikigai (the reason for being). There is pure joy & satisfaction in creating a new initiative with like-minded people. This is true for both my personal & professional life. Work Experiences In my professional journey, I have worked as a school counsellor with elementary, middle school & high school students from diverse socio-cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in Mumbai, India, and Melbourne. Witnessing the ever-increasing gap between mental health care accessibility & growing distress & mental illness, I chose to work in preventive and promotive mental health care. As a counsellor and workshop facilitator for the past decade, I have created safe spaces in the school systems for students, their educators and families. In Melbourne, I design mental wellbeing interventions for training teams & communities and operate a private counselling practice for multicultural communities. I have self-published a doodle journal for wellness informed by Narrative practices called Origami of Becoming. Hopes & Dreams Building emotional resilience across all ages is the need of the hour. I hope everyone in society finds a safe space and a voice to unpack their thoughts.
