About Birgit Rug

If I had to pick one term that best describes what I have been focusing on throughout my career, it would be EXPERIENCE. During my 15+ years in international banking, I acted as a main point of contact for highly demanding clients (issuers in the DACH region and financial institutions in German and French-speaking markets), investors (as the extended arm of my clients’ IR department) and employees (as the co-founder and co-lead of the local employee engagement committee). When joining a digital group in 2020, experience remained a core theme. What changed was the target group: A broad variety of prospects across industries - decision makers in marketing, communications and business development departments of SMEs, hidden champions and large corporates. In both cases, I operated in B2B2C contexts, meaning that I did not only have to make sure the experience of my direct contacts was outstanding but I also had to keep in mind the potential impact on underlying clients. And ensuring an optimal client experience continues to be my main endeavour in my current role as a senior account executive in the software arena. For me, TRUST and EXPERIENCE go hand in hand. I am a big believer in these values which I consider to be the cornerstones of success.
