About Bjoern Peters

I had my first contact with the SQL Server in in a customer project for Unisys, where I spent almost 7 years looking at a payment system and its complete server landscape including SQL Server (6.5, 7.0) with 1-n replication of these databases taken care of. When the project ended, my way led via a rescue company to Atos, where over the years I have dealt with various database systems (MySQL, IBM DB2, SQL Server, Sybase IQ) and the daily business with incident handling, Change- and Problem management took over. In the past few years, I have also taken on the technical responsibility for the strategy to be implemented and the standardization of the environments in terms of best practices, security, and compliance. Through my community work, I also got to know the consulting business with customers better and it became clear to me that I would like to do more with customers and their challenges (especially towards the cloud), which is why I switched to Kramer & Crew. Here I can individually take care of the individual customers and their projects, challenges, or requirements and optimally support them on their way to the cloud. Before the pandemic, I obtained my knowledge exclusively from daily business and read/followed numerous forums/blogs. Now I have several Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) or DP-300 (Azure Relational Database Administrator), just as I have distinguished myself for my work as a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Since October 2016 I have been the main organizer of the Azure Meetup Hamburg, for this and other speaker activities Microsoft appointed me MVP in April 2017, the first year in the category "Cloud and data center management", then in the category "Data Platform".
