About Blaise Patterson

Blaise is driven by a deep passion for games-based learning and creation, aiming to make education engaging and accessible for all ages. Throughout his career, he has created and delivered a variety of learning experiences, including several Minecraft Education worlds featured in the in-game library and numerous scholastic esports-focused programs. Blaise’s fascination with interactive media fuels his constant experimentation with gaming to enhance educational environments. In his current role as an Education Content Creator with Cleverlike Studios, he is at the forefront of student engagement by creating immersive learning experiences using popular video games, such as Minecraft and Fortnite. He and his awesome team of experts, ranging from learning experience designers to game developers, reimagine games to scaffold students from players to creators. Their mission is to provide students with the tools and skillset necessary to confidently navigate interactive 3D spaces, and develop their own content; contributing to a career-ready toolkit of digital competencies. As the Director of Industry Partnership with the Ontario School Esports Association, Blaise also builds connections between schools and organizations, fostering the growth of esports in education from K-12 to post-secondary levels and beyond. His work supports teachers in implementing and scaling esports programs from daily instruction, to district-wide competitions.
