This led to my brainchild Saving Hand Development Initiative (SHADE-IN), a nonprofit organisation focused on youth education, leadership development, value reorientation and neighbourhood transformation. As a Development Consultant, I have worked in the areas of strategic planning, research, M&E, report writing, proposal development, project management, training and development, and advocacy with over 14 years’ experience in the social (nonprofit) and business development sectors. My colleagues nicknamed me,"Strategy" because of my problem solving skills and strategic solutions, hence I refer to myself as the Strategist or Your Strategist. I have consulted with various organisations including international organisations such as Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) formerly known as Department for International Development (DFID), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the British Council. I have also served as a mentor on the West Africa RLC Mentorship Program of YALI. It has been a pleasure to have spoken in various forums both physically and virtually with audiences within and outside Nigeria on topics relating to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), youth development, gender equality, marriage, women, children and girls’ empowerment, business development. As a trainer, I have coordinated and facilitated trainings for several individuals and organisations both physically and virtually in the areas of communication, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, strategic planning, digital skills for social development work, social media marketing for agribusiness professionals, as well as on Amazon e-book publishing for writers.
