About Bobby Richards

I am a middle school Spanish teacher with a passion for global development and education. In the fall of 2025, I will begin pursuing a Master’s in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education to further my advocacy of equitable educational opportunities. I served as a TEFL Education Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Colombia, teaching English and collaborating with local communities to foster sustainable educational practices. Before Peace Corps, I was an AmeriCorps member with City Year, where I supported students in underserved schools, focusing on bridging educational gaps. I also have experience in the private sector and commercial banking, holding a degree in Finance from Xavier University, which has given me a strategic, results-driven mindset now applied to my work in education. I am driven by a belief in the transformative power of education and am excited to continue learning, growing, and contributing to projects that support positive change, both domestically and globally. When I am not in the classroom teaching or helping organizations become more efficient, I can be found on running trails, competing in marathons and triathlons, waterskiing, and spending time with family and friends. I am an avid Chicago sports fan and love cheering on my Xavier Musketeers.
