About Bradwin Niblock

Brad is a long-time Canadian diplomat having served in a variety of leadership roles in India, Poland, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Hungary, Romania and the USA (Buffalo, Seattle, Phoenix and Detroit) during the course of his varied career in Canada’s Public Service. Brad is currently First Secretary and Trade Commissioner at the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi, India providing support to Canadian companies with business interests in India, Nepal and Bhutan. Prior to his arrival in 2023, Brad served as Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Consulate General of Canada in Detroit, MI, USA from 2019-23, and in the same capacity at Embassy of Canada to Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova from 2016-19, the Embassy of Canada to Hungary, Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina from 2013-16, as Deputy Director in the Office of Inspector General for Canada’s foreign ministry from 2012-13, Head of Office and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Consulate of Canada in Phoenix, USA from 2011-12 and Science and Technology Counsellor at the High Commission of Canada, in New Delhi, India from 2008-11. He has also held positions with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency, and taught secondary school in British Columbia, Canada prior to joining Canada's Public Service.
