How I went from an insecure and broke first year Western student to generating $2.5M in sales before turning 23 Until my second year at Western, I was working your typical student jobs in retail, restaurants etc and I always knew I wanted something bigger, I just didn't know what that was. I came to realize that the thousands of students around me would eventually graduate with the same exact degree as me with very similar work experiences. I wanted a big future, and I knew that if I wanted the big future I dreamed of, I needed to do something different.I wanted a big future, and I knew that If I wanted the big future I dreamed of, I needed to do something… I had heard from a friend that he ran his own business with Student Works and that’s when everything changed. I knew that running my own business while pursuing my undergrad would help me stick out and create a bigger future for myself, I just knew I couldn’t do it alone. I didn’t have the tools I needed to start nor the mentorship… That's when I met my first mentor and my life has never been the same… He helped me go from having no experience in business to successfully running a business and employing 4 other students for the summer. During that first summer, my coach helped me so much and I knew during that first summer, my coach helped me so much and I knewI wanted to follow in his footsteps to help other students the same way I was helped. I went on to run a business the following year, gaining more experience in the coaching world before going on and helping other students start their first business. Since then, my students have generated over $2.5M in sales and gained experience that will help them stick out after their undergrads… That’s in the pockets of these students who are running a business for the first time.
