About Brandon Maracle

Lionhearts Inc. is a Charity that provides housing programs and services for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in Kingston. As the Director of Supportive Housing, I oversee the development and delivery of our housing programs and services, which include emergency shelters, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing. I collaborate with diverse stakeholders, such as government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community members, to ensure the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of our housing solutions. I have a JD degree from Queen's Law, where I gained valuable skills in legal research, analysis, and advocacy. I also have experience in Indigenous law and human rights law, which are relevant and distinctive for my current role and industry. I worked as an articling student at Maurice Law, a leading Indigenous law firm, where I assisted with various legal matters involving Indigenous rights, land claims, and treaty negotiations. During my time as student caseworker at Queen's Legal Aid, where I provided pro bono legal assistance to low-income clients on issues such as housing, employment, and family law. I am passionate about social justice, human rights, and community empowerment, and I use my interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills to achieve these goals.
