Background

About Brandy Young

I was raised on a family owned and operated farm in Illinois. The upbringing established roots in agriculture, family and work ethic. I came to faith in Christ in my 20's and traveled around the world when I turned 30, 11-countries in 11-months to be exact. Exercising my wings built courage, perspective, and cultural sensitivity.I have followed an untraditional career path in and out of the corporate sector, local ministries, and overseas missions – serving in urban youth ministry, international agricultural development, and the local church. I'm a co-founder of Field of Hope, a Christian non-profit dedicated to agricultural education and extension in Uganda, and a lifelong learner, recently completing my Master of Arts in Christian Leadership and a certificate in Spiritual Direction through Sioux Falls Seminary. The words of Isaiah 61 have long captivated my heart: proclaiming the good news, binding up the broken hearted, and setting the captives free, which ultimately drew me into the fight against sex trafficking.I'm well versed in project management, sustainable development, private sector engagement, relationship management, employee engagement, and non-profit/Christian leadership. I serve as a Christian speaker and Spiritual Director.
