About Brendan Lanza

I have had the priviledge of being in the education business for the past 22 years, and in the corporate world almost simultaneously. Humbly beginning teaching to get myself through university, while also taking on professional jobs, I eventually went into consulting and created school programs alongside my profession. Consulting led me to develop curriculum for institutions and gave me opportunities to train at multinational corporations as well as schools. After assisting the then CEO of Samsung Engineering, later the Vice Chairman of Samsung Group, I came to Malaysia in pursuit of a Phd.I taught Cambridge by day in Cempaka International School and did consulting when I could during my studies. This eventually led me to design the UCSI Child development centre’s franchise model and SOP. This piece of work caught the attention of the UCSI Group Chairman and owner, Dato Peter Ng. He offered me a job as a principal of a new school, as his own principal was leaving and he had 3 weeks to make the school before the students came in. I took the challenge and pursued the dream that God put before me, and am so grateful that it was successful. By summer I turned over a 26% profit, beating the projections made by the consultants. I also became the Head of Operations of the whole campus, which included his on Sri Sedaya (Now Sri UCSI). I filled the school up by year 2 and we offered all programs from preschool to A levels, mainly Cambridge IGCSE and IPC syllabus with my own methodology. I was privileged to be promoted to being the Special Assistant to the Chairman of UCSI, managing his private ptojects. I have been passionately aspiring to innovate in Malaysian education, to create a better future for our children and to make a statement in International education and innovation. After founding Qosmo Educational Group with my Business partner, Mr. Diego Gestri, I now am starting a new vision to change International Education in Malaysia for the better with Qosmo.
