About Brett Johnson

After 17.5 years of service in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (British Army - REME) I've recently transitioned into a new chapter of my career in the railway industry. Providing engineering support and responsible for maintaining and repairing various amounts of equipment. Accomplished, highly trained and a versatile engineer. Motivated and capable of maintaining, operating and controlling a wide range of fleets and equipment. Ranging from vehicle maintenance to operating cranes and inspecting lifting equipment for over 250+ individual lifting appliances and accessories under the LOLER and PUWER regulations. More recently I've joined Balfour Beatty Omnicom as a technical Engineer, where I'm building on my experience by working with advanced rail monitoring systems-gathering and interpreting geometry data to help maintain the safety and performance of the UK rail network. I take pride in learning new systems, adapting quickly, and delivering reliable results in the field. Able to achieve effective results when working under pressure in adverse ‘knee-deep’ conditions. A strong addition to any team but also able to work independently displaying initiative and desire to complete any task in hand.
