Originally from upstate New York, I relocated to Colorado in 1995 & hired with Sinnett Builders as a carpenter. After one year I was promoted to the office to develop a Safety Program to encompass safety inspections, training, new hire orientation, tracking & maintaining the EMR, maintain the tools in a safe condition and hire new employees. With the Safety Program established, I moved to assistant project manager where I started to learn the needed skills to be a project manager. In a short period of time I was taking on more of a role of project manager and eventually completing my own projects. Several of my early projects are: North College Grease Monkey, Colorado State University Lory Student Center Ballroom Remodel, Integrated Benefits Office Bldg. & State Farm Insurance Bldg. in the Oakridge Business Park After more than 9 years, we parted ways and I hired on with Dohn Construction as a Project Manager. Here I found a variety of projects from large commercial / retail projects, Automotive Dealerships and my first taste of residential construction - custom home, multi-family and apartments. Several notable projects are: Iron Mountain Autoplex, Lee's Cyclery Addition & Remodel, TST Office Remodel & Addition and Berthoud Cottages. Within Two years I transitioned over to fulltime Chief Estimator taking on the full responsibility of providing clients with budget etimates, GMP Contract Estimates and competing in the local hard bid market. Projects that I successfully bid are: St. Mary's Catholic School in Cheyenne, CSU Rockwell Hall Addition & Braiden Hall Dining Room, RMI Office bldg, Skypond Office Building, Windsor Fire Station #2, Big Grinns Dental, Loveland Library Addition & Remodel, Ingredient Restaurant, Boyd Lake Medical Office Bldg, and Poudre Valley Medical Fitness at Marina Health Campus. I have now decided to change course, expand and improve my experience so I have accepted the Chief Estimators position at Heath construction, LLC.
