About Brian Braa

Currently work for the US Agency for International Development using skills in financial management, information systems, project management, strategy development, creative problem solving, and oral/written communication to further the organization’s work in improving people’s quality of life in developing countries. During the previous ten years skills in cultural resource planning, visual and landscape character assessment, sustainable landscape design, visitor management planning, and design guideline development supported stewardship of unique and sometimes iconic public resources in national parks and world heritage areas. These included Stonehenge, Alcatraz Island, Old Faithful Geyser, and ancient settlements in Oman. This combination of abilities allows me to provide leadership and successfully facilitate multiple groups of stakeholders to both conserve precious cultural and natural resources while promoting environmentally and economically sustainable development that improves the life of communities.
